The International Conference on Architecture and Built Environment (ICABE2026) is the flagship conference of the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), bringing together scholars, practitioners, and industry leaders to explore how the built environment can respond to rapid global transitions. As cities, landscapes, and communities face evolving environmental, technological, and socio-cultural challenges, the conference provides a platform for sharing research, ideas, and professional practices that promote resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking approaches to shaping the future of the built environment.

Submission Guidelines

The International Conference on Architecture and Built Environment (ICABE 2026) invites researchers, academics, and professionals to submit papers or posters for consideration.

Paper Submission

We invite submissions of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical notes that contribute to advancing the understanding of the built environment in a changing world.

All submissions must comply with the conference or journal guidelines and will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

Poster Submission

We also invites researchers, professionals, and students to participate in the Research Poster Competition, held in conjunction with the conference.

Aligned with the conference theme: “Navigating Transitions: The Built Environment in a Changing World”

This competition provides a platform for participants to showcase innovative ideas, research findings, and design-thinking approaches that address contemporary challenges in the built environment.

Scopus Indexed Journal	Selected high-quality papers will be published in the Planning Malaysia Journal (PMJ), indexed in Scopus and MyCITE.
MyCITE Publication	All accepted articles are eligible for publication in the Journal of Architecture, Planning and Construction Management (JAPCM), IIUM, indexed in MyCITE after editorial review and considerations.
Project-based Article	Eligible for consideration of publication in Design Ideals Journal (DIJ), IIUM (Google Scholar indexed).
Conference Proceedings	All accepted extended abstracts (paper and poster) will be published in the ISBN Conference Proceedings.**
