NIGERCON is a premier technical conference in communications and networking in Nigeria. NIGERCON 2026 brings together researchers, industry practitioners, policymakers, and technology leaders to explore the convergence of emerging technologies and digital transformation across critical sectors in Africa and beyond. The conference focuses on practical applications of AI, telecommunications, smart infrastructure, sustainable innovations, fintech, and healthcare technologies that address unique African challenges while contributing to global knowledge. The program features technical sessions covering the latest advances in generative AI, large language models, 5G and 6G wireless networks, blockchain applications, cybersecurity, advanced computing frameworks, and autonomous systems, among others. The conference emphasizes research-to-market pathways, fostering collaboration among academia, research labs, industry, and government to build innovative ecosystems that drive economic resilience and societal transformation in Africa and beyond.

Submission GuidelinesSubmission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome.

Submissions must be papers not longer than 5 pages in the IEEE conference double-column format, including figures and references, and submitted via EasyChair. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

§Research Paper (Original research with validated results)

§Case Study (Implementation experiences and lessons learned)

§Policy Paper (Analysis of regulations and policy innovations)

§Industry Paper (Practical solutions & technologies deployment)

§Position Paper (Informed perspective on digital transformation and related fields).

AI, Ethics, and Plagiarism

AI-generated papers will be rejected without peer review. All papers, along with their references, will be screened using IEEE CrossCheck (iThenticate), and those that meet IEEE quality standards and have a similarity index of no more than 20% will be published in IEEE Xplore.

Review Process

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Criteria for evaluation include originality, technical contribution, clarity, and relevance to the conference themes. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference. No-show papers will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore.
